Teach Me How To Mezu: How to Send Anonymously

Sending money to friends and family with a mobile payment app is something we are all getting used to doing. All you need to do is find the contact you want to pay in the “Send” screen, tap in the amount, add a few emojis in the description and you’re good to go. BUT….

…what if you don’t want that user to snag your personal information when you have to pay them via by Sending? What if it’s a new handyman or a house cleaner you’ve just started using and you just don’t want to share your phone number or personal email with them (especially your number…who wants unwanted texts????)

Sure, if you’re with that person, in person, you can use Mezu’s Give/Get feature, but what if you’re not? For that, we’ve launched  “Anonymous Send.” Yes. You can now send money to anyone (as long as you have THEIR contact) without sharing any of YOUR personal information.

Let’s catch up with Stevie… Every Friday her office partakes in “Pho Fridays.” This week, Kevin picked up the tab and left everyone his phone number to send him a payment for their meal. Stevie didn’t know Kevin all that well and she didn’t really feel comfortable sharing a username or phone number with him. So after a few taps, Stevie has Mezu open on her phone.

She goes over to the Mezu Send tab, puts in Kevin’s phone number, adds the amount she owed him, and taps pay. After that, she adds a description what the payment was for “🍲” and makes sure the “Pay Anonymously” tab is activated. Just like that, she paid Kevin without sharing her personal information. Go Stevie!
